1st day


Arrival of the participants and transfer to the centre of Milan. Guided walk starting from Piazza Duomo where the famous Duomo, in Gothic style, and the Royal Palace overlook; continuing to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Piazza della Scala up to the Castello Sforzesco. At the end of the tour, departure for Brescia. Accommodation in hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

2nd day


Breakfast at the hotel. Full day guided tour. We will visit the Museum of Santa Giulia together with the adjacent Roman Archaeological Park (with the area of the Roman Forum, Theatre and Capitolium) among the World Heritage Sites protected by Unesco. In addition to Lombard jewels such as the Cross of Desire, a masterpiece of early medieval jewelry, and the church of San Salvatore, you can admire the Domus dell'Ortaglia, Roman patrician homes that came to light during the last excavations, the bronze statue of the Winged Victory, the oratory of Santa Maria in Solario and the Choir of Nuns. Lunch in a restaurant with typical products. In the afternoon, visit to the city and its elegant Romanesque and Renaissance heart with Palazzo Broletto with the memory of the court of Pandolfo Malatesta; the two cathedrals: the Old Cathedral of the eleventh century affectionately called "Rotonda" and the neoclassical New Cathedral; the living room of Piazza della Loggia with the elegant arcades and the astronomical clock with the "Macc de le Ure", on the model of the "Moors" of St.Mark in Venice; and Piazza Vittoria, in neoclassical style. Dinner and overnight stay.

3rd day


Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Mantua. Full day guided tour starting with the monumental complex of Palazzo Ducale, a real "city within the city": Piazza Castello, Piazza S.Barbara with the palatine basilica and the garden of Piazza Pallone. The story of the refined court of the Gonzaga will then continue in the Renaissance centre: Piazza Sordello and Piazza Erbe, with a visit to the co-cathedral basilica of S.Andrea, the perfect manifesto of early Renaissance architecture and the desire for affirmation of Ludovico II Gonzaga and his great architect, Leon Battista Alberti. Lunch with typical products. In the afternoon, visit to the museum complex of Palazzo Ducale with the large rooms of "Corte Vecchia": the room of Pisanello, the room of the Arceri with the altarpiece by Rubens, the room of the Mirrors, the gallery of the Rivers and the rooms of the Tapestries by Raphael; visit to the apartment of the Marquise Isabella d'Este. Continuation with a visit to the Castle of S.Giorgio and the famous "Bridal chamber" by Andrea Mantegna. Return to Brescia. Dinner in typical restaurant. Overnight stay.

4th day


Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Cremona. Full day guided tour starting with the beautiful church of San Sigismondo built by Bianca Maria Visconti in memory of his marriage to Francesco Sforza. And then, from Piazza Libertà, we will follow the way of walking towards the center between elegant and ancient buildings (the families Fodri, Cavalcabò, Pallavicino...) with a stop in Solferino street to the historic shop Sperlari with its original furniture of 1836, famous for mustard and nougat. Visit outside the monuments of Piazza del Comune: the Duomo, the 112-metre-high Torrazzo bell tower adorned with a precious astronomical clock from 1583, the Baptistery and the elegant Palazzo del Comune. Lunch with typical products of the Cremonese tradition. In the afternoon, visit the interior of the Cathedral, built at the beginning of the twelfth century (among other works by Boccaccio Boccaccino and Romanino) and the church of Sant'Agostino with chapel of '400. Departure for the return to Brescia. Dinner and overnight stay.


5th day


Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Bergamo and half a day of guided tour dedicated to the Upper Town. In Piazza Vecchia, you will admire the Palazzo della Ragione, the Angelo Mai Library, the Palazzo del Podestà, the Torre Civica and the Contarini fountain. Two jewels are the Cathedral and the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, with the elegant and sumptuous Colleoni Chapel, where the leader rests with his daughter Medea. Lunch with typical products. In the afternoon transfer for the return.
