1st day
MALPENSA AIRPORT - MILAN - BRESCIA
Arrival at Milan Malpensa airport and transfer to the city centre. Meeting with the guide and visit of the famous Teatro alla Scala. Then continue with a walk to Piazza Duomo, where the Duomo and Palazzo Ducale overlook the square. Departure for Brescia. Accommodation in hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
2nd day
BRESCIA - CREMONA - BRESCIA
Breakfast. In the morning departure to Cremona. Guided tour of the Violin Museum which houses famous and historical instruments belonging to the greatest musicians such as Stradivari, Amati, Guarneri. Continuation with a guided tour of a workshop where you can touch and get to know the process of violin production. At the end of the visit we have a private audition with a famous musician of international fame. Lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon visit with a guide of the historic center with the Medieval Square which overlooks the Town Hall, the Torrazzo, the Baptistery and the Cathedral. Return to Brescia. Dinner and overnight stay. (in the period from 28 September to 12 October, possibility to participate in a concert in Cremona of the Festival Stradivari 2019).
3rd day
BRESCIA - BERGAMO - BRESCIA
Breakfast. In the morning guided walk through the historic centre of Brescia with a visit to the famous Teatro Grande. We will visit the famous Piazza Loggia, Piazza Vittoria and Piazza Paolo VI (dedicated to the Pope Paul VI born in Brescia) and the Roman Archaeological Park (outside). Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon departure to Bergamo and visit of the Upper Town with a tour dedicated to the famous composer Donizetti. We will visit the birthplace, the Donizetti Museum, the Social Theatre and the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, the most important monument in the city where the remains of Donizetti are kept. At the end of the trip back to Brescia. Dinner in a typical restaurant. Overnight stay.
4th day
BRESCIA - PANEVEGGIO (TRENTO) - BRESCIA
Breakfast. In the morning departure for Paneveggio, in the province of Trento. Guided tour of the "Violin Forest", inside the Natural Park of Paneveggio, famous for the production of a particular wood used in the construction of stringed musical instruments. At the end of the tour, visit the adjacent violin museum. Lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon visit to a company that produces violins, knowing the entire production process. At the end of the tour, return to Brescia. Dinner and overnight stay.
5th day
BRESCIA - BUSSETO - BRESCIA
Breakfast. Departure for a day dedicated to visiting the places where the famous composer Giuseppe Verdi lived and worked. We will visit the birthplace of the Maestro and the Church of St. Michael, where he began his career. Continue to Busseto with a visit to the National Theatre and the Museum of Casa Barezzi. Lunch in a typical restaurant. In the afternoon continue to Villanova sull'Arda and visit Villa S.Agata. At the end of the tour return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
6th day
BRESCIA - MALPENSA AIRPORT
Breakfast. Depending on the flight schedule, free time and departure for Milan Malpensa for the return flight.
