1st Day
WARSAW
Arrival at Warsaw airport and transfer to the hotel for check-in. We meet our guide and we make a tour in the old part of the city accurately reconstructed as it used to be after its complete destruction during Second Word War. Dinner and overnight
2nd Day
WARSAW - CZESTOCHOWA
Breakfast. In the morning we leave for Czestochowa. Accommodation at the hotel and lunch. In the afternoon we visit with guide the Sanctuary of the Black Virgin Mary of Jasna Gora with its museum, devoted to the Pope Wojtyla and to Polish people's reverence. Dinner in hotel and in the evening there is possibility to take part in the Mass in Sanctuary. Overnight.
3rd Day
CZESTOCHOWA – AUSCHWITZ – WADOVICE - CRACOW
Breakfast. Departure for Auschwitz. Arrival and visit of the Nazi concentration camp, where father Massimiliano Kolbe was kept as prisonier and died. This place is now a Museum of Martyrdom. We continue for Wadowice, the birth town of St. Karol Wojtyla: we visit with guide his native house and the parish church. Lunch. We continue our tour visiting Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, an important Holy hill where Karol Wojtyla often attended during his youth. Arrival in Cracow, accomodation in hotel, dinner and overnight.
4th Day
CRACOW - WIELICZKA
Breakfast. Full day dedicated of Cracow guided visit: the city where young Karol Wojtyla became priest. Now Cracow belongs to the Unesco World Heritage thanks to its precious historical centre. We visit the Cathedral, the castle on the Wawel hill (from outside), the church of Holy Mary on the Market square, the Jagellonian university founded in 16th century (we visit the courtyard) and the Jewish quarter. Lunch. In the afternoon we arrive to Wieliczka to visit the rock salt mines, suggestive underground natural science museum with the part dating back to 1700 and the church made of salt. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
5th Day
CRACOW - GRAZ
Breakfast. In the morning we leave for Austria. We have a lunch stop during journey. We arrive in Graz, the capital of Steiermark region, with its historical centre full of baroque and renaissance palaces proclaimed World Unesco Heritage. Accomodation in hotel, dinner and overnight.
6th Day
GRAZ - ZADAR
Breakfast. In the morning we visit with guide the historical centre of Graz. Then we leave for Croatia having lunch during journey. Arrival in Zadar, a beautiful city on the Adriatic sea, its historical centre is built in Venetian style full of medieval monuments. Accomodation in hotel, dinner and overnight.
7th Day
ZADAR - MEDJUGORIE
Breakfast. In the morning we leave for the National park of Krka. We visit with guide the monastery of Madonna of Grace, one of the most visited Marian sanctuaries of Dalmatia region. Lunch. Then we continue to Medjugorie. Accomodation in hotel, dinner and overnight.
8th Day
MEDJUGORIE
Full board in hotel. We dedicate the whole day to the visit of the Marian devotion places and we take part in the religious celebration.
9th Day
MEDJUGORIE – SPLIT - ROME
Breakfast. In the morning we leave for Split airport and we take our flight to Rome. Arrival in Rome and we take transfer to our hotel: accomodation, dinner and overnight.
10th Day
ROME
Breakfast. In the morning we visit with guide the Vatican museums (visit booked in advance), the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica. Lunch. In the afternoon we continue our guided tour with the baroque Rome: Quirinale palace, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza di Spagna and Navona square. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
11th Day
ROME
Breakfast. Possibility to take part in the meeting with Pope Francesco in San Pietro square (if the Pope is in Rome). Lunch. In the afternoon we continue visiting with guide this imperial city with a panoramic view of Campidoglio square, Fori Imperiali and Colosseum (from outside). After the tour we return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
12th Day
ROME
Breakfast. In the morning we go to the Fiumicino airport Rome and we take our flight back home.
