Women in art exhibition: from Tiziano to Boldini at Palazzo Martinengo in Brescia

An important exhibition dedicated to the representation of women in art from the sixteenth century to the Belle Epoque is taking place at Palazzo Martinengo until June 7, 2020.

Thanks to a selection of about one hundred works from prestigious museums, art galleries and private collections it will be possible to explore the fascinating theme of women as a central role in the history of Italian art.

The visitor will have the opportunity, thanks to the works of great Renaissance, Baroque and nineteenth century painters such as Raffaello, Tiziano, Caravaggio, Tiepolo, De Nittis and Boldini, to know more closely the close relationship between art and the female world to emphasize how the woman has always been the center of the artistic universe and beyond.
